CleanFreakPatrol.com Visit Assumption Senior School, Oakville, Ontario on November 6th, 2006
Toronto, Monday, November 27, 2006 – On November 6th, 2006 the Presidents of both Junior Achievement of Canada and Clean Freak Patrol came to Assumption Catholic Secondary School to speak about the new partnership formed between the two organizations and to speak to students about how they can get involved in the Germ Elimination contest being launched in Canada.
Mr. Morris, president of Clean Freak Patrol spoke to students in Mr. Robert’s Grade 10 Media Arts class and Mr. Stephen Ashworth‘s Grade 9 Business Information Technology Class about web site design, cause-related marketing, entrepreneurship and technology related careers.
Clean Freak Patrol has just released a new fun interactive website to help educate students to prevent the spread of germs at www.cleanfreakpatrol.com
Mr. Maund, President and CEO of Junior Achievement of Canada was also there to speak with students about opportunities for them to get involved with Junior Achievement. "We are delighted to be associated with Clean Freak Patrol because improving the prevention of health risks is good for students and therefore important to Junior Achievement" said Mr. Maund.
Students had the opportunity to ask questions, check the website, interact with the guest speakers and learn about cause-related marketing. The students’ response was very positive and students found the website both fun and educational, illustrating the benefits of being aware of having a healthy environment.
Assumption Catholic Secondary School is the first school in Canada to launch the Canada-wide ‘Germ Elimination’ Contest.
Clean Freak Patrol also introduced educators to a new school fundraising product available exclusively to schools until January 31, 2007. Participating schools have the opportunity to purchase a variety of clip-on hand sanitizing gel packs. The kid friendly gel packs feature four loveable cartoon superheroes: Combat, Missy, Karate and Princess Fairy, who together form the Clean Freak Patrol. The pleasantly scented sanitizing hand gel contains no alcohol, is gentle on hands, works without water and is safe for even sensitive skin. The special pre-retail offer comes in boxes containing 24 KIDS HAND GEL clip-ons (retail selling price $2.49 for each clip-on with up to 50% of the sale going to the participating school). While the product has not yet been released for retail sales, a portion of all proceeds will be donated to charity including Junior Achievement.
Clean Freak Patrol products will be available in most major retail stores early 2007. For more information about Clean Freak Patrol and the Fundraising Opportunities, contact Michael Morris, President at 416-332-8794 x 229 or email michael@cleanfreakpatrol.com
